E006 – Ozone Cell Problem

The ozone generator is off due to abnormal power consumption from cell contamination or incorrect operating parameters. Pressing “Reset” will bypass safety but may cause cell damage not covered under warranty. Only push “reset” if you are sure that the cell is not contaminated and the operating parameters are correct. To restore safety features, reset the generator’s power.

Troubleshooting Guide

Verify Oxygen Supply

  • Check Oxygen Pressure and Flow
Ensure the supplied oxygen pressure and flow match the specifications indicated in the generator’s performance chart. If they do not, correct the issue and restart the generator.
  • Check Oxygen Purity and Dew Point: Verify that the oxygen source provides at least 90% pure oxygen with a dew point of -60˚C or lower. If not, replace the oxygen source with one that meets these requirements.

Check Oxygen Pressure and Flow

  • Inspect Anti-Flood Device (ALD2000FPD):
Ensure Proper Drainage: Make sure the anti-flood device (ALD2000FPD) is not clogged and is draining water correctly. Ensure there are no “U” bends in the tubing coming from the drain port.
  • Service ALD2000 if Needed: If ALD2000 is not draining properly, rinse it to remove any sediments that may interfere with its performance.

If the Generator is Flooded with Water:

  • Purge with Compressed Air or Oxygen: Gently blow compressed air or oxygen at high pressure through the generator, leaving about a 1-inch gap from the gas connector to prevent damage to the ozone cell.
  • Observe for Moisture: If moisture is exiting from the other connector, continue purging until no visible moisture remains.
  • Dry Purge: With the ozone generator powered off, run oxygen through the generator for several days to absorb all moisture inside. Ensure the ozone cell is completely dry before testing the generator.
  • Repeat Dry Purging if Necessary: If the problem recurs, repeat the dry purge process for several more days.

Following these steps should help troubleshoot and resolve issues with your ozone generator.
